Smart Eating Week is about.. Smart Eating.
A patient recently told me at the end of our nutrition consultation that what we covered in our session “was nothing that I did not know, but now I have a plan of how to incorporate what I know into my busy schedule, be accountable, be organised with my cooking, my shopping and meal planning. I now have a strategy for putting this into practise”.
Sometimes you don’t need more information, more books, quick term fixes or 6 week transformation challenges.
Sometimes you need to go back to the basics, and implement what you know. Once this plan has been put into place, and the results measured, and evaluated, the process can be repeated.
And as concluded in last year’s Smart Eating Week Blog, Smart Eating should be something you do for longer than Smart Eating Week.
It’s consistency with smart eating that helps with blood sugar control.
