How telehealth works

Appointments are delivered online via a secure telehealth platform.

You’ll receive an email with a link to your appointment. At your appointment time, click the link to join from your computer, tablet or phone.

You do not need to live in Melbourne to book. Online diabetes dietitian consultations are available across Australia.

Choose your appointment type

You can book:

• Initial consultation 60 minutes

  Best for new clients who have not worked with Deconstructing Diabetes before.

  Your first appointment includes a detailed review of your diabetes history, medications, glucose patterns, food habits, lifestyle, goals and current challenges. We’ll use this information to create a practical starting plan.

• Review consultations  45 minutes

  Best for existing clients who want to review progress, troubleshoot challenges and adjust their plan.

  Follow-up appointments help you build consistency, refine your strategies and make changes based on what is happening in real life.

• Packages 

  Best for people wanting more structured support, accountability and longer-term habit change.

  The package includes an initial consultation and follow-up appointments to help you build, review and adjust your diabetes nutrition plan over time.

After booking

Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive:

• A confirmation email with your secure Cliniko link

• A new client form to complete ahead of your first session (so we can make the most of our time together)

Fees and rebates

Deconstructing Diabetes does not offer bulk billing. Payment is required at the time of booking or consultation.

You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if your GP has provided a valid Chronic Disease Management Plan and dietitian referral. Private health rebates may also apply, depending on your level of cover.
